Our team recently joined an exclusive professional excursion to explore one of Slovenia’s most ambitious infrastructure projects — the Drugi tir Divača–Koper railway.
On Thursday, September 18, 2025, some of our colleagues joined a professional excursion to the construction site of the Drugi tir Divača–Koper railway, one of the largest infrastructure projects in Slovenia.
Organized by siBIM and buildingSMART Chapter Slovenia, the visit offered a unique opportunity to see firsthand how BIM (Building Information Modeling) is being used in both the planning and execution phases of such a complex project.
During the excursion, participants explored the ongoing works on the new railway line, which includes 27.1 km of tracks, seven tunnels, and three viaducts. The project will significantly improve freight capacity, reduce emissions, and strengthen Slovenia’s transport connections.
The day concluded with a lunch and networking session at Gostilna Malovec in Divača, where participants exchanged insights and impressions from the visit.
